Office Manager

Job Summery

The Office Manager assists the Studio Manager in administrative and business operation in order to reach and maintain goals and objectives of the company while representing the facility. The ideal candidate would be able to work independently with little-to-no supervision. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, processing payments recording receipts, answering incoming calls, respond to inquiries, social media marketing upset our dance class packages, apparel, and company branded items, maintain cleanliness of the facility, studio rentals, order supplies, etc.

Qualifications

Qualifications for the office manager position include a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of management level administrative experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills needed to effectively work with staff, vendors, and performers. The ability to multitask and lead efficiently is also required. The Office Manager must also be a proficient user of social media platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, studio software, and office/computer equipment.

Work Hours

Monday – Friday (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM)

Administrative Assistant

Job Summery

The Administrative Assistant responsibilities include providing support to the owner, office manager, and studio operations personal to ensure efficient operation of the office. The administrative assistant is a team player with a pleasant, inviting personality who answers and directs phone calls, organizes and schedules meetings, maintains contact lists, orders office supplies, books travel arrangements, and provides general support to visitors. Other responsibilities include selling items in The Dance Shoppe, maintaining inventory, checking students in, assisting with studio rentals, and upsetting the company and products.

Qualifications

Qualifications for the administrative assistant position includes proven administrative experience, proficient knowledge of office management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, studio software, and other office equipment. The Administrative Assistant my have excellent time management skills, the ability to multitask, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational and planning skills.

Monday – Friday (5:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
Saturday (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM) (2:00 – 7:00 PM)

Faculty Dance Instructors

Job Summery

The Faculty Dance Instructors are the highlight of Born 2 Perform. Their combined extensive knowledge, performance experience, and training will be an indisputable asset that will help shape every performer. The Faculty Dance Instructors teach beginning through advanced levels of Ballet, Pointe, Jazz/Funk, Modern, Contemporary, Acro, Leaps/Tricks/Turns, and create repertory dance pieces. Instructors lead by example  in areas of punctuality, responsibility, motivation, and professionalism.

Qualifications

The duties and responsibilities of the faculty dance instructors include, but are not limited to, effectively designing and planning curriculum for all levels. They must also assist in recoding/maintaining attendance records, set-up studio, enforce all Born 2 Perform rules and policies by maintaining constant surveillance of class participants, choreography class dances for performances, attend weekly staff meetings, report injuries, and complete required forms. The ideal candidate possess at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree from a nationally accredited institution in dance performance, theater, and/or a related field. The candidate must also have an extensive amount of training, performance opportunities, and teaching experience that would extend beyond what one would achieve in a 4-year college program. Submission of CV and Choreography Reel is required.

Adjunct Dance Instructors

Job Summery

The Adjunct Dance Instructors teach beginning through advanced levels of Tap, African Dance and Drumming, Pilates, and Yoga. They also create repertory dance pieces and lead other dance classes as needed. Instructors lead by example in areas of punctuality, responsibility, motivation, and professionalism.

Qualifications

The responsibilities of Adjunct Dance Instructors include, but are not limited to, effectively designing and planning curriculum for all levels and population in accordance with the mission of born to perform. They are also responsible for assisting in recoding and maintaining attendance records, studio set-up, enforce all Born 2 Perform rules and policies by maintaining constant surveillance of class participants, choreograph class dances for performances, attend weekly staff meetings, report injuries, and complete necessary forms. The ideal candidate is in the process of attaining an undergraduate degree from a nationally accredited institutions dance performance, theater, and/or a related field. The candidate would have an extensive amount of training, performance opportunities, and teaching experience beyond what one would achieve in a 4-year college. Submission of CV and Choreography Reel required.

Guest Teachers

Job Summery

As a current dance professional, our Guest Teachers, commonly referred to as Master Teachers, are current national and international industry dance professionals. With an extensive professional dance and teaching background, our guest teaches are known throughout the dance community for training aspiring students to become professional dance artists.

Qualifications

The duties and responsibilities of a guest teacher include, but are not limited to, providing quality instruction as a trained professional with extensive performance background, acting as a positive mentor and/or role model while demonstrating professional conduct as a positive reflection on the dance-education field, behaving in an ethical manner, showing respect for alls students, using encouraging language, and offering positive reinforcement, constructive criticism, and acknowledgement of achievements.
